Wellingborough is a short run up the A45 from me, so I'm in the NN8 area most weeks for breakdowns, boiler swaps and air con fits.

In town I work all over, from the older terraces near the town centre and Victoria Road to the bigger estates at Queensway, Hemmingwell and Brickhill. Stanton Cross, the new development by the station, is growing fast. Outside town I regularly go to Finedon, Wollaston, Irchester, Great Doddington, Earls Barton and Bozeat, covering NN8, NN9 and NN29.
The post-war estates in Wellingborough have a lot of boilers that were fitted around the same time and are now reaching the end of their life. I get called to plenty of failed pumps and diverter valves on those. In the brand new Stanton Cross homes, the jobs are more about servicing to keep the warranty valid and adding air con to upstairs bedrooms that get hot in summer.
Finedon and Wollaston have lots of old ironstone cottages. They hold the cold, and radiators are often undersized. I'll work out the right sizes room by room so the house actually warms up, instead of guessing.

Every new boiler I fit is registered for its warranty, and I'll show you how to use the controls before I leave.

He ordered a new boiler, collected it from Leicester and fitted it the next day. The change introduced some air into the heating system and he spent hours assessing and fixing that issue too.
